My new denim love

My attendance during the Copenhagen fashion week this season was scarce, but I did manage to show up the first day, which turned out to be a pretty awesome one with lots of fun and new camaraderie.

To that occasion, I decided to wear something I rarely wear, namely denim jeans. And honestly this is the second pair of jeans in my closet. The distressed and patched parts are what made me get them. The trend for distressed jeans has become more and more extreme, just take a look at Kanye West, but I’m not there yet.

The fit, the style, the details just makes them cool and I thought they would be perfect for fashion week, you know trying something new. Besides the jeans on the bottom, I decided to nobody’s surprise, go all white. You guys know I have a thing for white and especially all white. So the outfit was put together by statement pieces, that are also versatile enough to work perfectly together as well as seperately. Versatile pieces for the win right! How do you guys think I pulled it off? 😉

Talk to you later,

Fashion Hong Kong

During fashion week, I got to attend what was called “Fashion Hong Kong” which is a fashion show that showcases three top notch Hong Kong fashion designers; and this season it was Doris Kath Chan, Kenax Leung and Lulu Cheung.

I think it’s a pretty cool initiative and it gives “commoners” like myself a chance to experience new exciting brands. My favorite was Kenax Leung, who designs both menswear and womenswear. It’s no secret I am a huge fan of prints and playing with different textures, which is why his designs caught my eye. He has a unique way of using prints and shapes that makes me want to see more. No wonder Hong Kong is regarded as the fashion capital of Asia, I surely hope I one day get to experience the brands on their home turf.

Second look of #CPHFW

For the Barbara I Gongini show, I wanted to honor her dark universe so I created a simple look in black and grey and played with different textures and details, which really made the whole look, come together.

Happy Humpday

CPH fashion week day one

jesper_hoering001_0Jesper Høvring

The first show I attended this season was the Jesper Høvring x Greenland, it was my first encounter with Jesper Høvring, since he’s known for creating haute couture for high class women. Nonetheless, I did love seeing all the glammed up models strutting their stuff in beautiful creations that you would otherwise only see on Hollywood celebrities. The show was held at Hotel hotel d ́angleterre, which in itself is spectacular.

Barbara I Gongini

Last season, was the first time I experienced the Barbara I Gongini show and this season I just knew I had to experience it again. Barbara I Gongini is actually quite different from my own style, but I think that’s why I am fascinated and inspired by it.

Copenhagen Fashion Week

IMG_4313 IMG_4307

As I told you, Copenhagen Fashion Week kicked off yesterday and I have been looking forward to it. The first thing on my schedule was a brunch hosted by Tommy Hilfiger so I thought it was only fitting that I wear the brand. I opted for a classic Hilfiger look in a nude blazer. The pictures does not do this blazer any justice, it’s difficult to see the print. I paired it with a printed polo and navy blue trousers and monks. I attended two shows, namely Jesper Høvring and Barbara I Gongoni, which had the most amazing artistic ballet performance finale. I wore two different outfits and I’ll show you the other one another day and tell you more about the shows.
